I love Richland County. I was born here and like so many others, I moved away after graduation thinking the grass was greener on the other side. I quickly found myself missing all the wonderful people and places in our community (Mohican! Kingwood Center Gardens! Charles Mill Lake! Snow Trails!) and now I have returned to raise my family. We all have different reasons for why we call Richland County home. For me, it was the chance to raise my family in a small town– where they could grow up knowing their neighbors, attending a great school system, and enjoying the outdoors. Of course, there is also the bonus of having grandparents nearby!
As many of you know, I’m a local REALTOR and my blog is focused on the local real estate market. Today, I decided to switch gears and ask you to think about what it is that you love about our community and consider giving on December 1st to your favorite non-profit to support #RichlandGives.
What is Richland Gives?
Richland Gives is a 12 hour online day of giving hosted by the Richland County Foundation encouraging charitable donations through an online platform. Any individual may donate, no matter where they live in the U.S. and donations are 100% tax deductible!
How do I give?
You can give at Razoo.com and search for your favorite non-profit. You can give anytime from now through the Day of Giving on December 1st. If you need ideas, how about Kingwood Center Gardens? Many people aren’t aware that Kingwood Center Gardens is not a state-run park and is a non-profit in need of donations to continue to offer our community the breathtaking gardens year in and year out. You can schedule your donation to Kingwood Center here.
We all win when we support our community.
